By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. The service
Free Online File Tools provides free browser-based tools. The tools run on your device; we don’t receive or store the files you process. We may change, add or remove tools at any time.
2. No accounts, no fees
You don’t need an account to use the tools and we don’t charge for them. If we introduce optional paid features, they’ll have separate terms that you’ll see before paying.
3. Your responsibilities
- You’re responsible for the files you process and the documents you create, and for having the right to use them.
- You must check results before relying on them. In particular: review redacted documents before sharing them, compare passport photos with the official requirements before submitting them, have important legal documents reviewed by a qualified professional, and proofread transcripts and captions.
- Keep your own backups. Tools work on copies in memory, but always keep your original files.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use the site to break the law, infringe others’ rights (for example by converting artwork you don’t have permission to use), forge signatures, create fraudulent documents, or interfere with the site’s operation, such as by automated scraping that degrades performance.

6. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text and code are owned by us or our licensors. Open-source components are used under their own licences. Files and documents you create with the tools belong to you, subject to the rights in any material you put into them.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that results will be accepted by any third party.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you; nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.
9. Third-party services
The site loads code and models from third-party networks and may show ads and affiliate links. We’re not responsible for third-party websites or services.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the site operator is established, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
